extras .:. CHARACTER EVOLUTIONS
I mentioned in my about page that in order to make this story work, I had to alter already existing characters to fit the roles. I have an extremely overactive imagination due to several things, but the result of it is that I have my own little world in my head; fully developed with a complete cast of characters. The main reasoning for this is due to me always looking to my imagination as a child, and never stopping, even when it was discouraged (as a teen). I figured it would be fun to compare the original characters to their KiD alternates. I didn't use all my characters. I'll just put the ones I did use.
The biggest transition would be the main character, Beryl. Her original incarnation is Ann, who is pictured on the right. As you can see, I changed nothing about their faces. The only difference is that Beryl uses Enayla's skintone (and eyes), while Ann has Rensim.com's donation skintone (and Helaene's eyes). Beryl also has freckles uses a lot more make-up than Ann, who is extremely Spartan and tomboyish. All their differences are in personality. They are the polar opposite of one another, the only similarity being their sarcasm. Even though Beryl's nationality is never mentioned, Ann is a mix of Irish and Korean.
If you're from SimScribes, you may recognize Ann/Beryl as my avatar. The altered version of Ann was made before I thought I was even going to actually go through with this. She is supposed to represent my online persona 'Mao'. Ann, as a character, started nearly eight years ago as an RP character and my avatar. People even thought it was my name. So I felt the need to homage that with my avatar there, and made a version of Mao, a persona I've used for about three years now.

Next up is our supporting character, Christian. The character he is based off of is named Leon and you can see him on the right. There really isn't all that much difference between them except the skintone and eyes. The only changes I made to Christian was to make him look a bit more 'manly'. Leon is supposed to be very asexual looking, and it balances out because that story has Seth. However, in this one, Nicolas Blanc takes that role, so Christian's face was altered. Other than that, they are both still German. Their personalities are also very similar, though Leon tends to be a little more laid-back than Christian, and the dynamic between Beryl and Christian is drastically different from Ann and Leon's.

Nicolas and Melissande are actually based on fraternal twins Nicholas and Amelie, who you can see on the right. Their faces are drastically different, due to the twin's father have a very masculine appearance, which they inherited (and doesn't sound as bad as it looks). So I took Nicholas' template, which takes more after his mother, and altered it accordingly to make 'Nicolas' (I can't help it, I like that name). I then cloned him and made Melissande. Amelie and Melissande's personalities aren't all that different, except Melissande is more focused on her 'bad' side. Nicholas and Nicolas differ greatly, except that they both have a ridiculous amount of loyalty towards their sisters.
